Utah is home to a flourishing aviation community. Most cities and towns have a local airport that provides the community with valuable services.
There are more than 1,700 aircraft in Utah. The airports have the capability of handling more than 1.3 million takeoffs and landings every year. According to the Utah Department of Transportation – Division of Aeronautics “Utah’s airport system creates over 106,350 jobs, $2.38 billion in payroll and $5.68 billion in output.” 5,098 of those jobs $70.22 million of output come from airports other than Salt Lake International.
